AWARD-WINNING PBL PROJECT

Redefining Physical Education Through Science and Technology

This Project-Based Learning (PBL) initiative was recognized for its innovative integration of Physical Education, Science, and Technology, demonstrating how cross-disciplinary projects can deliver meaningful learning experiences and measurable outcomes.

During the Teachers’ Day celebration at Shenzhen Taoyuanju Sino-Australian Experimental School, I was honored with the Excellent Teacher in Curriculum Construction Award under the "国小" (Elementary School International Division) category.

Innovative Approach to Learning

This award-winning project was carried out through three interconnected areas:

Physical Education: Students were introduced to advanced training methods typically reserved for professional athletes, adapted for school use. They improved coordination, movement, and overall performance while benefiting from digital assessments that went beyond traditional grading.

Science: Data generated from PE activities was analyzed and visualized, giving students a deeper, scientific understanding of their performance. This allowed them to clearly measure progress and connect classroom theory with real-world practice.

Technology: Through video analysis and digital tools, student performance was recorded, interpreted, and presented in a modern, data-driven way. This transformed classroom observations into actionable insights, making learning more engaging and meaningful.

Impact

The project demonstrates how innovation, creativity, and technology can transform learning. Recognition from the school highlights the value of implementing cross-disciplinary, evidence-based teaching that engages students and produces measurable results.
